Babies born in the U.S. are at the lowest level in 32 years
DID YOU KNOW? 3.79 million babies were born in the U.S. in 2018, down 2% from 2017, a 32-year low. The total US fertility rate has generally remained below the “replacement” level of 2.1 since 1971. Without enough immigrants, the U.S. could see population declines and a workforce too small to support a growing segment of retirees. (WSJ)
