‘Condo King’ offers take on SF market
Nat Bosa, dubbed by the San Francisco Business Times as “the Mission Bay condo king”, recently weighed in with his assessment of our local market. It’s a timely one as the developer is just starting concrete work on the 263-unit Arden project overlooking the creek in Mission Bay.
Bosa – who has also built the 99-unit Radiance and then later the 329-unit Madrone – is well known in Mission Bay. He says he’ll continue to keep his eye on San Francisco.
“San Francisco is becoming New York in terms of real estate and Seattle is becoming more like what San Francisco used to be,” he said. “How do you stop San Francisco? You can’t. It’s all based on jobs, on tech. Everybody wants to be there rather than Silicon Valley.”
Bosa is joined in Mission Bay by developers UDR, BRE and SummerHill Homes, which are currently working on a total of 633 rental units. Most of these are expected to come online this year.
“I think we are raising the bar a little bit on this one,” Bosa said of Arden. “I am hoping I can find 263 people who love it as much as I do.”
