This Weekend: free screening at LGBT Community Center

In the mood for some culture this weekend? Check out a free film screening and post-viewing talk at the San Francisco LGBT Center, 1800 Market Street.

The film, “Legacy of Joseph Gifford”, screens from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. It highlights the professor’s dancing history and shows how he grew to become a teacher for actors and musical conductors on a global scale. Now 93, Gifford is still going.

“Legacy depicts Joe’s personal journey through his rich career path in performing and teaching,” filmmaker Jill Uchiyama told the San Francisco Chronicle. “The film brings out Joseph’s teaching model and theories that he has used with dancers, actors, and conductors for over 50 years.”

Have a great weekend!
